Westward HO! -- Travel the Trail with the Westward
HO! Wagon train. Load those wagons........kiss the kin goodbye.........get ready
for adventure, drama, comedy, tragedy, and fantastic learning as you hit the
Oregon Trail and head out west! This simulated journey allows classes to
travel the trail as part of the Westward HO! Wagon Train. In classrooms
across the country, collaborative families, based on real families from
America's past, make daily decisions (travel and fate scenarios are provided
by the project moderators) that will influence their safe arrival in
Oregon.
Historic Sites on the Oregon Trail -- Includes photos, drawings, and
descriptions of 30 famous sites and landmarks visited by many of the pioneers
who traveled along the Oregon Trail.
Aurora
Colony Historical Society, OR "The Old Aurora Colony Museum houses all
that remains of a way of life which began arriving in Aurora , OR in 1856. The
Utopian society of Aurora, Oregon was established by Dr. William Keil as the
site of what was to be his last communal settlement."
